“Designing the Future” Achievement Exhibition opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of “Designing the Future” Achievement Exhibition was held at 5:30 p.m. on June 18th by the Macau Design Centre. Macau Design Centre was established and founded in 2014 and started to operate in 2015, aimed to promote design and cultural creative industry and assist local designers and companies in extending their network internationally. In order to showcase the project and achievement participated and created in the past years, the Macau Design Centre organized the “Designing the Future” Achievement Exhibition.

 

In the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Dirco Fong, C.E.O. of the Macau Design Centre introduced the history and major projects from 2015 to 2018 and the future plan, following by Mr. Nelson Wong, director of the Macau Design Centre represented to sign a cooperation agreement with Sphinx Cultural Group, agreeing to develop design and cultural creative industry together in the future.

 

The opening ceremony was held by a group of guests from all sectors. In the exhibition there are six areas showing the achievement of the major projects including “A Light Chaser – Marvelous Exhibition of Vincent van Gogh”, “Taiwan & Macau International Designers Creative Exchange Project”, “Specific Program of Financial Support for Cultural Creativity in Community Neighborhoods”, “The MO’ MENT” Tourbillon Watch, “Macao Light Festival 2017” and “Keith Haring Maze Macao”. The projects were all designed and planned by local design teams, including projection mapping technique, products and AR technology etc., to witness the improvement in the technology and professional standard of the design industry, and to showcase the efforts from the Macau Design Centre to the community.
