City Inspire-Macau Culture Regeneration Product Exhibition Opening Ceremony invitation
Macau is a small city rich in cultural heritage. The streets crisscrossed in different parts of the old town, permeating the charm of the city loaded with inhabitants’ life, culture and historical footprints. Within the streets, Lingnan architecture featuring buildings of arcades has been one of the characteristic architectures.
However, parts of the arcades have been rebuilt and the demolition generates loads of construction waste, but these so-called junks are bearing their historic value and the collective memory of Macau. Therefore, “Macau Lifestyle Association”, ” Hylé Design” and “ZAWOOD” are joined in collaborative effort to design a new line of furniture products utilizing the abandoned wooden doors. We hope the new products are blended with memories of the past Macau life. In this way, the stories of our city will not fade along with time.
